Everything Venice

Below, at left, is a photo of the light-blue bottle with the company name molded into the glass. There are also two reports, one from 1902 in which the bottling company is listed. Another is from a 1912 State Food Inspectors report which shows that two of the company's products are "misbranded." Click on the photo to see a closeup of the company name or on the cover of either report to see the pages with the Venice company listed.

The photo of the bottle at right was provided by the late Beverly (Mulnik) and Bob Bargiel. It is an earlier era bottle that would have been corked rather than be sealed with a cap. The bottles' profiles and the embossed "label" designs are different, but both are Tri-City Bottling Works in Venice.
