Delores J. “Dee” Scaturro, 84, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:44 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
She was born March 13, 1937 in Granite City, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Wasylak) Bero.
She married Louie J. Scaturro on July 21, 1962 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arnold, Missouri and he passed away on March 24, 2017.
Delores was a loving and dedicated homemaker and had also worked as a cook with the Granite City School District for several years. She was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City and a former member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Venice. She had volunteered through the earlier years with the Boy Scouts and Crippled Children’s Foundation. She loved her days of going on vacations, enjoying the beach and was always up for a day of shopping.
She cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Janet Scaturro of Granite City and Terry and Kathy Scaturro of Glen Carbon; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Jeff Kindle of Glen Carbon, five grandsons, Tim and Loren Scaturro Jr., Robert Kindle, Anthony Kindle, Roman Scaturro and Cameron Scaturro; three great grandchildren, Saleen Scaturro, Sophia Scaturro and Dominic Scaturro; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Otto Nuspl of Arnold, Missouri and Marcella and Vasil Vangel of Granite City; a sister-in-law, Nancy Gray of Granite City; a brother-in-law, Bob Fechte of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters-in-law, Dolores Fechte, Mary Bellue and Irene Wein and two brothers-in-law, Donald Scaturro and Leo Scaturro.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Alfred Tumwesigye as celebrant.
Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Church in Edwardsville.
Memorials may be given as Masses and may be accepted at the funeral home.
Pete Ivy, 50, of Venice, IL, passed away at 4:32 p.m. Fri. July 9, 2021 at his home.
He was born July 11, 1970 in St. Louis, MO to Rose (Coleman) Ivy of Venice and the late Pete Robinson.
Pete had been an over the road truck driver.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a sister: Nicole Rose Ivy of Newport News, VA; godparents: Greg & Arlene Katana; and very special friends: Michael Katana and Gregory Katana II.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Emmitt Ivy.
Patricia K. Cheek, nee Freise, 69, of Evansville, IL, died July 6, 2021, in Red Bud, IL. She was born January 11, 1952, in St. Louis, MO.
She graduated from Venice High School, Venice, IL, with the Class of 1971.
She is survived by her husband George D. Cheek; children Shannon M. Butler, Angela (Kirk) Howell, and George Cheek Jr.; grandchildren Deanna (Mike) Parker, Amber (Dwayne) Butzen, Dylan Cheek, Teya Poyor, Zachary Cheek, and Hayden Cheek; great grandchildren; sister Mildred Moats; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents Clarence & Marie (nee Fassold) Freise, sisters, and brother, John, who was a casualty of the Vietnam War.

Roy Leon Fisher, 79, resident of the Cambridge House in Maryville and formerly of Granite City and West Frankfort, Illinois passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at River Crossing of Edwardsville.
He was born July 4, 1941 in Macedonia, Illinois, a son of the late Rev. Austin O. and Carrie E. (Tellor) Fisher, who was pastor of the Venice Baptist Church in the early 1970s.
Roy married the love of his life, Donna F. (Bain) Fisher on March 21, 1962 in Granite City and she survives.
He retired as a forklift operator from Olin Corporation in East Alton after 35 years of dedicated service in the Winchester Division. He was a lifetime member of the Machinist Union Local #660 in East Alton since 1966.
Roy was a faithful member of Heights Community Church in Collinsville and a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Granite City. Roy was very patriotic, enjoyed gospel music, listening to the Gaither Homecoming group and enjoyed years of singing with his family throughout the years. He had a love for sports, watching football and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He attended many home games with his son, was a season ticket holder for the St. Louis Rams and enjoyed attending induction ceremonies on occasion. He enjoyed his days of traveling, visiting many historic sites and taking trips to Branson. He was also an avid collector of Cardinals, Rams, Winchester and political memorabilia. Roy cherished his family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife of 59 years, he is survived by three children and spouses, Paula and David Parker of Granite City, Marsha and Steven LaGree of Beatrice NE and Don Fisher and Kim Scharringhausen of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren and spouses, Christina and Matthew Wright, Jodi and Bobby Hinson, Rebecca Berry, Austin Berry, Ali Walters, Stephan and Sierra LaGree; six great grandchildren, Bryan Parker, Tyler Wright, Zoe Berry, Parker Hinson, Everleigh Hinson and Freya LaGree; two sisters-in-law, Gerry Fisher of Warrenton, MO and Eileen Fisher of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Martha Fisher; a grandson, Charlie Berry; three brothers, infant Donald Gene Fisher, Kenneth Ray Fisher and Carl Edward Fisher and a sister, Dolores Ann Ameiss.

Richard M. Orescovich
Richard M. Orescovich, age 86, of Godfrey, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at his home.
He was born October 7, 1934, in Madison, IL, the son of Michael and Josephine (Richardson) Orescovich. He married Leonora Ledbetter (Venice High School Class of 1956) on January 19, 1957, in Madison, IL and she preceded him in death on December 7, 2020.
Richard was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. He worked for many years as a Financial Manager at A.O. Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen Khamee and son-in-law Mo Khamee of Grafton, IL; a son, Robert Orescovich of New Johnsonville, TN; granddaughter, Emily Blow and grandson-in-law, Randy Blow; grandson, Cyrus Khamee; three great-grandchildren, Camryn Jean Ann Rosener, Vivian Emilee Blow and Benjamin Richard Blow.
In addition to his wife, Leonora; he is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Orescovich.

Rosemary Rose, 90, of Troy, IL born, May 27, 1931 in Venice, IL and passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra, IL.
Rosemary was a member of Troy United Church of Christ where she was active with the Ladies Guild and TOPPS. She was a resident of Troy for over 70 years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, embroidery, fishing, camping and anytime spent outdoors with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Rose Sr. whom she married December 25, 1948 in Madison, IL and he passed away April 14, 2006; her sons,Thomas A. Rose Sr. and Michael L. Rose; her parents, Lawrence Baker and Alice (nee Richardson) Hackney.
Surviving are her son, H. Dale Rose Jr. of Highland, IL; grandchildren, Bridget (Bill) Viehweg, Shawn (Darla) Rose, Thomas (Deana) Rose Jr., Megan (Steven) Erwin and Regan (Kloey Marshall) Rose; great-grandchildren, Alexie, Evan, Nathan, Brayden, Gunner, Gracelynn and Brantley.

Jeanette A. Wegrzyn, nee Giese, age 77, of Columbia, IL, born on July 11, 1943 in Granite City, IL died on Friday, May 21, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Jeanette was the former general cashier for the Sheraton Hotel in St. Louis, MO, although her experiences reached far beyond her occupation. She loved life and the great outdoors, bestowing fun, love, and laughter on everyone she met. Throughout her life, Jeanette’s intrepid spirit led her to enjoy many bold adventures, including traveling, sailing, and camping with family and friends. Her motto was, “Keep a Happy Heart.”
Jeanette was a former resident of Venice and attended St. Mark School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester J. Wegrzyn; her son, Curtis R. Wegrzyn; and her parents, William and Margaret, nee Schultz, Giese.

Victoria McQuay, 91, passed away at 10:12 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Morningside of Troy in Troy, IL. Victoria was a long time resident of Madison, IL, prior to her move to Troy in 2016.
She was born December 23, 1929, in Venice, IL, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Gawlik) Yakubiak.
Victoria married Charles Lloyd McQuay Sr. on July 9, 1949, in Venice, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 28, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles L. McQuay, Jr., on June 21, 1980; and her grandson, Christopher M. Babic, on Nov. 23, 2006. In addition, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Lottie Wenc, Gertrude Rutkowski, Lorraine Rakowski, and Leona Toothill.
Victoria was a member of St. Mary & St. Mark Catholic Church and was a regular volunteer at various church activities over her 60 plus years as a member. She lived by her faith and had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was a member of the Association of the Miraculous Medal.
Victoria’s life was centered around her family and friends. She enjoyed countless outdoor activities with her children when they were growing up. Her other interests were traveling, baking, embroidery, card club, and reading. She treasured her trips around the country with Lloyd (especially her first adventures flying to Hawaii and Las Vegas). She made many memorable trips with her daughters, a favorite being a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Later on, she was a regular on the Granite City Park District bus trips and met many new friends. Victoria will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
Victoria is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Milan and Vicki E. Babic of Alhambra, IL, and Burt and Mary Ellen Thompson of Collinsville, IL, and other extended family and friends.

She was born on August 27, 1960 in Granite City, IL to Martin Craig and Peggy (Balentine) Brown.
Pamela was an adventurous person who loved her family.

Joan B. Shelton, 84, passed away on A[ro; 24, 2021. She was born on June 9, 1936.
The eldest daughter of C. Harry and Etta (Schanot) Bramlet, Joan grew up happily in Eldorado, IL
within a tight-knit extended family.
She graduated with a degree in Education from Southern Illinois University and started teaching second grade in Venice, IL during her last semester in
college. Leland Shelton was the new Junior High math teacher at the same school. They
met, married in 1959, and had a strong and loving marriage for over 50 years.
Shortly after
marrying, they moved to Elgin, IL to continue teaching. Joan “retired” after becoming a
mother and devoted her time and attention to raising her two daughters, while Leland’s
career took the family to Deerfield, IL and then to Lakewood, CO.
Joan cultivated and nurtured wonderful friendships everywhere that she lived. Her love of
education and children led her to teach Sunday school for several years and, eventually, to
make her way back to the classroom as a substitute teacher. Joan was also a long-time
member of a group that met every Thursday to hike or to ski, enabling her to explore many
beautiful and remote parts of Colorado and to be with some of her favorite people. Joan also
enjoyed solitary pleasures. Oftentimes, when not in nature, she could be found absorbed in
a good book, or solving a puzzle.
She was happy by nature, genuinely interested in people, and known for her words of
wisdom. She lived with dignity and grace, and often expressed her gratitude for the wonderful
life she lived. Joan’s light will be missed, but the world is brighter because of it.
Joan was the beloved wife of Leland, who preceded her in death in 2011; The adoring mother
of Susan (Geoff) Barsch and Karen (Tom) McCall; The devoted “Mimi” of Adam, Grant, Jack,
Chase, Will and Isabelle; and the cherished sister of Judie (Steve) Stroup, Richard (Sandy)
Bramlet and Janie (Pat) Roberts.
The family will be having a private celebration of her life.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Jeffco Action Center or the Aviant Healthcare Hospice.
Cremation was chosen by the family.

Michael Hayden, 65, passed away April 22, 2021 in Hillsboro, IL.
He was born on December 21, 1955, to Merl "Buddy" Hayden Sr., who preceded him in death, and his mother Mary, who survives.
Michael was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law Helen "Tiny" (Young) Hayden.
Michael's surviving siblings include two brothers, Merl "Yocko" Hayden Jr. (VHS 1966) of Hillsboro, IL, and Jim Hayden (VHS 1970) and two sisters Janice (VHS 1968) and Karen.
His remains were cremated and there were no services per his request.

Wayne V. Bryant
Wayne V. Bryant, 85, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 11:34 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at his home.
He was born July 6, 1935 in Granite City, a son of the late Wilbur and Mildred Bryant.
Wayne was a graduate of the Venice High School with the Class of 1953.
He married Donna Lee (Wickam) Bryant on August 29, 1964 in Granite City and she passed away on October 30, 2000.
He later married Carol (Jones) Beyer Bryant on May 23, 2007 in Granite City and she survives.
Wayne retired from the Engineering Department at Ameren after 35 years of dedicated service with Illinois Power.
He was a devoted and loving husband, dad, grandpa, stepfather, brother, uncle and friend and will greatly be missed by all.
To his co-workers and many others he was known as Wayno and to his good friend he was known as Buddy.
He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Granite City where he was active with the choir. He had served his country with the National Guard. Wayne was a dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan for all 162 games unless they went to playoffs, then there were more games and he watched them all. His passion for bowling is undeniable. He loved it and all of the many friends he bowled with over the years and he kept the Pepsi people in business. Wayne was also a member of the Rt. 66 Club and had a passion for antique cars and trucks and enjoyed restoration and buying and selling throughout the years.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a son, Michael (Amy) Bryant of Granite City, three stepsons, Tony (Julie) Beyer of Granite City, Phillip (Donna) Beyer of Bunker Hill and Jim (Joanna) Beyer of Cahokia; eight grandchildren, Kacie Elizabeth Bryant and Brock Ryne Bryant, Justin, Bryan, Lindsey, Keri, Nathan and Josh Beyer; a great granddaughter, Marie Lily Beyer; a sister, Geraldine Recer Graham of Litchfield; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna (Gene) Maris.

Kenneth Wayne Sloan, 57, a former McKinley Bridge employee and Venice Superintendent of Streets, died April 9, 2021.
He was born September 9, 1963.

Alvin Wigfall, 64, currently of Wisconsin, passed away April 9, 2021.
He was born on September 27, 1956, and was raised in the Madison/Venice area and graduated from Madison High School in 1974.
After high school, he attended and graduated after two years from Belleville Area college. Alvin then moved to Superior, WI, and attended college there and he eventually became a teacher in the university. He made his home in Wisconsin for 43 years.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents Robert Wigfall Sr., a former Venice city worker, and Rev. Beatrice Price Wigfall, who also had been a former cook at Venice High School, and his son Zachary Brown and mother-in-law Corrine Koch.
Alvin is the first to pass in the family of eight children, and his surviving brothers are Robert Wigfall Jr., Clarence Wigfall, Kevin Wigfall Sr.(VHS ‘80), Lawrence Wigfall (VHS ‘86) and Wilfred (Genell) Wigfall (VHS ‘87), and sisters, Evelyn Wigfall-Mason and Darline (Gaylin) Huggins (VHS ‘82).
He is also survived by his beloved wife, Melissa Wigfall of Superior, WI; sons Kevin (Ruby) Wehmeyer of Stanley, WI, Alvin Wigfal Jr. and Amere Wigfall, both of Superior; daughters Jordan (Alan Grimsrud) Wigfall and Joclyn Wigfall, both of Superior; grandchildren, Zachary Brown Jr. and Amarra Grimsrud, both of Superior, and Nathan and Jaxon Wehmeyer of Stanley.
Alvin is also survived by his father-in-law Jeff Koch, a sister-in-law Melanie Brown and brothers-in-law Brad Draper and Dave (Jody) Draper, in addition to 26 nieces and nephews; a host of great-nieces and nephews, and three great-great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Carl Jackson, 71, of Granite City, formrly of Venice, departed this life on April 5, 2021 in St. Louis, MO.
Born on February 24, 1950, Carl was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.
He and wife had lived on Abbott Street in Venice for 18 years.
He leaves to cherish her memories his wife Velcey Jackson of Jacksonville, IL; Four sons Terry Blakely of Madison IL, Demetrius Terrell of Madison, IL, Carl Jackson, Jr. of Granite City, IL, and Marlon Jackson of Jacksonville, IL; One daughter Crystal (Shontarey Barnes) Jackson of Upper Marlboro, MD; Three sisters Essie McGaughy, Jeanette Pickett, and Toni Jackson all of O’Fallon, IL; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Richard McIntosh
Richard McIntosh, 74, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on March 26, 2021 in Florida where he and his wife, Donna, of 47 years have lived for 25 years.
Richard was born on December 15, 1946, to Walter and Margie (Reidelberger) McIntosh, both of whom preceded him in death.
He graduated from Venice High School with the Class of 1965 and was an Air Force veteran.
Richard is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Suddeth and Brad and Theresa Briggs; two sons, Robert J. and Eugene McIntosh; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother Tom and Beth (Knight) McIntosh and nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his brother Robert McIntosh (VHS 1967) who was killed in Vietnam, his mother-in-law Veronica, his grandson Jake and son-in-law Steve Suddeth.
Richard was a grandson of former Venice Mayor and Judge Frank Reidelberger Sr.
Per Richard's wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no services.

Donna Sue (Nash) Hocking
Donna Sue Hocking, 74, of Venice, IL, died on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home.
She was born on July 30, 1946 in St. Genevieve, MO, to Elmer Pearl Nash and Gladys Earnesteen (Cook) Brown.
Donna attended the New Creations Fellowship Church in Mitchell, IL. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and was also a fan of the St. Louis Blues.
She graduated from Venice High School with the Class of 1965.

Jack D. Kellems, 77, of Madison, IL died on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at his home.
He was born on June 12, 1943 in Tell City, IN to John Orville and Clara Ellen (McFall) Kellems.
Jack married Ericka Bazzell in Madison, IL on October 4, 1965.
The U S Army veteran worked for the Loomis Fargo Armored Car Company for 8 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed reading, poetry, music and he had a large collection of vinyl records. Jack never met a stranger and always had a joke or story to tell.
Jack worked for the Tri-City Grocery Co. for many years, both in Venice and at other stores.
He graduated from Venice High School with the Class of 1961.

James Robert Baggette, 78, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at McCall Hospice House.
A native of Venice, Illinois, Jim was a long-time resident of Culver Lake, NJ before residing in Easley, SC. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a Master Tool and Die Maker and Plant Manager for EJ Brooks Company in Newton, NJ.
An avid sportsman and hunting and fishing enthusiast, Jim loved spending time with his family and friends. Known as Big Jim to many, and a surrogate Dad to several, he will be remembered for always greeting you with a big smile and teasing, kidding, and joking with you in some way. He was a dedicated, loyal father, husband, and friend, who always offered his help to anyone who needed it. He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
The son of the late William Robert and Mary Durdin Baggette, Jim is predeceased by his wife, Carol J. Baggette. Jim is survived by his son, Dr. Joseph K. Richard W. “Dick” Mitchell, 73, of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away at 8:17 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Town and Country, Missouri.
He was born August 16, 1947 in Sikeston, Missouri, a son of the late Jesse and Lella (Blagg) Mitchell.
He married Karen (Scaturro) Mitchell on January 10, 1976 in Clayton, Missouri and she survives.
He retired April 3, 2003 as an information technology specialist after 37 years of dedicated service with the United States Army ALMSA / SIMA / CSDA / LSSO.
The United States Navy veteran proudly served his country in Rota, Spain during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Glen Carbon. Dick loved family gatherings, tending to his yard, playing golf and taking vacation with his family. He had a love of nature, loved animals, watching all the wildlife around his house and was always feeding the birds and deer. He cherished his children and grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife of 45 years, he is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jessica Krisch of St. Jacob, Mandee and Jasen Brown of Troy and Shonda and Mike Burrow of St. Jacob; seven grandchildren, Drew Burrow, Nathan Krisch, Julia Burrow, Abby Burrow, Evan Brown, Tommy Krisch and Jacob Brown; a sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Don Meyer of Crystal City, Missouri; three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Leo J. and Rose Scaturro of Surprise, Arizona and Dale Scaturro and Stan Cottner of Provincetown, Massachusetts; several nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

Randall “Randy” Peach, age 60, of Collinsville, IL, formerly of Granite City, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. Randy was born on February 19, 1960 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Robert Peach Sr. and Dormalee (Mayes) Peach.
Randy was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and a friend to many. He never met a stranger and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had worked at Jefferson Tent & Awning Company in St. Louis, MO., for many years. Randy was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time at his cabin in Sullivan, MO. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Randy loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steve Charles “Scuba Steve” Suddeth, 55, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home.
He was born October 7, 1965 in Highland, Illinois, a son of John Marvin and Iris Darlene (Luncsford) Suddeth of Crystal City, Missouri.
He married Rhonda Lynn (McIntosh) Suddeth on April 13, 1991 in Edwardsville and she survives. Rhonda is the daughter of Richard McIntosh.
He was employed at Granite City Steel with ten years of dedicated service as a steelworker.
He was a member of the Steelworker’s Local #1899 and a proud fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Steve enjoyed riding his motorcycle, had a love for music and his days of fishing. He loved the outdoors and was always up for a good bonfire or day of barbequing. He was always the life of the party, cherished his grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.

David A. Allison Sr., age 72, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. David was born on February 28, 1948 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Russell Allison and Goldie (Boyle) Allison.
On September 4, 2010, David married Linda Cook in Granite City, IL. David was a faithful member of Freedom Worship Center in Granite City, IL and he loved going to church to serve the Lord. He had previously worked for Dow Chemical and Monsanto. He took early retirement from Monsanto after many years of dedicated service. David always believed in working hard and after retiring he started working at Gateway Foundation in Caseville, IL, as a maintenance man, retiring again after many years. He enjoyed spending time at his property at Gascony Village in Herman, MO, fishing, riding his golf cart and just sitting by the lake relaxing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly. David was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and a dear friend to many who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mary Donna (Luddon) Scaturro, 91 of Winfield Mo, Previously of Venice IL and Safety Harbor FL, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Troy, MO of COVID-19 and pneumonia on Saturday, February 6, 2021.
Mary Donna was born on October 6, 1929, daughter of John and Lillian (Rush) Luddon.
She attended Madison High School and graduated in 1947. After graduation, she married Thomas “Tom” Scaturro on October 16, 1948 at the former St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Venice, IL.
She was a faithful and supporting parishioner of St. Mark’s Church. Mary Donna and Tom were married for 69 years. Having nine children, six boys and three girls, she was a stay-at-home mother. But over those years, Mary Donna was involved with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, School Moms, St. Mark’s Ladies Club, Venice Junior Service Club, Venice Social Club and the Venice Crippled Children’s Organization.
Mary Donna loved to feed her family and friends. One never ate at her home without Mary Donna packing up leftovers for them to take. She was always generous to take food to friends who were sick or as an expression of sympathy and comfort to others in need. For many years in Venice IL, it was not uncommon, to have homeless or transients knock on her backdoor requesting food. She was quick to oblige with a plate of food treating each one kindly because she felt Jesus resided in their souls.
Mary Donna stayed in touch with some of her high school friends. They organized a club of their own and gathered together, every month, for nearly 50 years playing card games, eating out at restaurants, sharing information and pictures of their children and grandchildren.
In her later years, Mary Donna was employed at the Venice High School. Soon transferred to work as Secretary for the Venice Lincoln Technical Adult Center until she retired in 1993.
After retirement, she and Tom moved to the large, gated community of Amber Glades in Safety Harbor Florida for 20 years. Both settled right into the Florida lifestyle with Tom being appointed Social Club President and Mary Donna working right by his side handling all secretarial functions. She served for two productive years as the Chairperson of the Social Committee. She was close to three Florida ladies, Pat Budney, Nicole Elliot, & Arlene Ehrich. Enjoying their friendship, dinners, shopping, daily visits and “happy hours”. Also enjoying visiting and socializing with cousins, Bill and Shirley Scaturro, who had already been living in Florida prior to her and Tom’s arrival.
She was a voracious reader, had quick Irish wit, enjoyed writing limericks and always looking for her next dance partner at parties and weddings. She loved to dance and said, “If my children don’t, can’t blame me for not trying.” Mary Donna loved to travel, having gone with Tom to Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Mexico, and Portugal. All that knew Mary Donna were aware how proud she was of her Irish ancestry. She went to Ireland with her two sisters to retrace the Luddon Family roots. She enjoyed visiting with her children and their families in different states as much as her children enjoyed the sunny vacations in Florida.
Mary Donna and Tom returned to Illinois in 2015 due to age and health reasons and settled in Waterloo IL. Tom preceded her in death February 15, 2018. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, John Patrick Luddon, a son, Lawrence (Larry) Scaturro, two sons-in-law, Jerry Hicks and John Brugmann, a great granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Baker, and nephew, John Luddon.

Timothy J. Browning, 61, of Granite City, IL died on Monday, January 25, 2021 at his home.
He was born on November 29, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Robert and Ruth (Kircher) Browning.
Tim married Theresa Bilbrey (VHS-1977) in Venice, IL on August 29, 1980.
The loving father worked for 38 years as a produce manager with Shop n Save grocery stores. He was a member of Grocer’s Union local 655 and enjoyed fishing, barbequing, watching sports, especially hockey and football. Tim loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren and he also loved animals.

Mathilda “Tillie’’ McGarrahan, 92, of Granite City and formerly of Venice, Illinois, passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Stillwater Assisted Living in Edwardsville, surrounded by her four daughters.
Tillie was born August 11, 1928 in Venice, Illinois, a daughter of the late Carl and Rose (Svezia) Ponce.
Tillie graduated from Venice High School with the Class of 1945.
She married the love of her life, William J. “Bill” McGarrahan on November 25, 1948 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Venice and he passed away on October 31, 2019.
Tillie first worked at the Venice Post Office and later retired from the Venice Public Library after many years as a librarian.
She was active in her earlier years at St. Mark Catholic Church in Venice and later became a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City where she was active with the Funeral Committee and with Catholic Charities. She was active with Junior Service in Venice and had held various offices throughout the years. She enjoyed reading and crocheting and was talented in floral design, writing and drawing.
Tillie cherished her daughters and grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her large extended family and many friends.

James “Jim” Joseph Shambro, age 73, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Jim was born on March 10, 1947 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Joseph Shambro and Agnes (Svezia) Shambro.
Jim was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army. On June 1, 1977, Jim married the love of his life, Nancy Herman, in Venice, IL. Jim was of the Catholic faith. He retired from U.S. Steel after thirty-four years of dedicated service. Jim enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening and working in his yard. He was also a talented woodworker who could build anything. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Jim was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and a friend to many. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He graduated from Venice High School in 1966.

Vernell Jackson, 90, of Venice passed away Tuesday morning, January 5, 2021.
Born in Madison on March 1, 1930, he later married Alice Lee Jackson, who passed away on November 26, 2020.
Vernell was a pitcher in the Negro League for the Memphis Red Sox from 1950 to 1951, then for the Houston Eagles during the rest of the 1951 season before being drafted into the Marine Corps. He saw action in Korea and was wounded.
He was one of the subjects of a book on the Negro Leagues and you can read his story HERE.

Zane M. Miller, age 92 of Mitchell, IL, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 3, 2021 in the Care Center at Center Grove, Edwardsville, IL.
Born on April 18, 1928, he grew up in the 500 block of Washington Avenue and graduated from Venice High School in 1945.
Zane has been a member of the Venice History Committee since 2011.
As a young man, Zane liked to drive Lincoln coupe automobiles, usually baby blue in color, and he had an extensive collection of his grandfather's tools which he brought to history committee meetings and shared with the group.
Zane was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Miller, his mother, Amy (Alexander) Beck and his grandmother, Lillie Miller.
He retired from American Steel in Granite City after 30 years of service as a patternmaker.

June (Dudley) Becherer Duncan, age 86, of Granite City, IL, formerly of Venice, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Fountain View Manor in Granite City, IL. June was born on June 7, 1934 in Granite City, IL, a daughter of the late Clifton Dudley and Julia (Beaver) Dudley.
June was a loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and a friend to many. She was also a proud homemaker who loved taking care of her family. June enjoyed spending time with family and she will be remembered for the love and care shown to her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joseph Thomas Ochoa, age 69, born March 14, 1951 in Granite City, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his residence.
Joseph was a Granite City High School graduate and a retired Mechanical Supervisor for the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis. He was a member of the Town & Country Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph (VHS 1941) and Ruthe (nee Foley-VHS 1947) Ochoa and his canine companions, Che and Uzi.
He is survived by his wife, Connie (nee Sheldon) Ochoa, whom he married on March 3, 1977; two daughters: Kerri Ochoa and Heather Villmaire; a sister, Jo Anne Ochoa Nelson; and beloved pets: a dog, Monty, and four kittens, Kaiser, Mr. Pinkman, Yadi, and Punkin Pie.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jack Severs, age 68, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his home with his loving wife by his side. Jack was born on September 5, 1952 in Granite City, IL.
On August 26, 1995, Jack married Donna Starr, the love of his life. Jack had worked for the Madison County Sewer Department as a maintenance man for many years. He was an outdoorsman who loved nature and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly. Jack will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Severs; and by a sister-in-law, Wanda Severs.

Retired Venice Police Chief James Bennett Jr., 78, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his residence.
James was born on November 29, 1942.
Chief Bennett started out as a patrolman in 1970 and went up the rank including corporal, sergeant and then to police chief. He retired in March of 1996 after serving a total of 25 years and three months.
He was appointed by Mayor Tyrone Echols as a City of Venice Police Commissioner for the past several years.

Larry Gene Fuller, age 72, of Lebanon, IL, formerly of Granite City, IL, and Venice, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Cedar Ridge Health Care Center in Lebanon, IL. Larry was born on May 16, 1948 in Jonesboro, AR, a son of the late John Howard Fuller and Muriel Maxine (Hurst) Fuller.
Larry was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army. During his tour of duty, Larry was a recipient of the Purple Heart, and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, two Overseas Service Bars and the National Defense Service Medal. He was an Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed watching John Wayne movies. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Larry will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, James Fuller; and by a brother-in-law, Joseph Brand.

Lenora I. Orescovich, age 82, passed away at 5:10 PM on December 7, 2020 at Robins Manor Nursing Home in Brighton, IL.
She was born June 1, 1938 in Madison, Illinois, the daughter of William Ledbetter and Mary Gum.
Lenora was selfless; everyone’s needs were put above her own. She loved to serve her community and that was very evident when she was crowned Miss Venice in 1956. Lenora was member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. She took great pride and loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She graduated from Venice High School in 1956.
Lenora married Richard Orescovich on January 19, 1957 in Madison, IL. He survives and resides in Godfrey, IL.
In addition to her husband, Lenora is survived by her daughter, Karen Khamee and son-in-law Mo Khamee of Grafton, IL; a son, Robert Orescovich of New Johnsonville, TN; two grandchildren, Emily (Randy) Blow and Cyrus Khamee; three great-grandchildren, Camryn Jean Ann Rosner, Vivian Blow and Benjamin Richard Blow; one brother, George (Judy) Ledbetter; a niece Susan and two nephews, Scott and Jeffrey.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Valerie Sheridan and a sister, Helen Biddle.

Helen "Tiny" Hayden
Helen “Tiny” Hayden, age 66, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at her home. Tiny was born on November 23, 1953 in Granite City, IL.
On April 26, 1994, Tiny married Jim Hayden in Maryville, IL. Tiny was a proud homemaker who loved spending time with her family. Tiny loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family and cherished her grandchildren whom she was very proud of. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Tiny graduated from Venice High School as a member of the Class of 1972.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William LeRoy Young and Ruby Genevive (Massengill) Smith; stepfather, Bill Smith; and by two brothers, John Young and Billy Jean Young.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Hayden of Granite City, IL; loving children, Travis McGovern of Granite City, IL and Shannon McGovern of Shelbyville, IN; dear siblings, Linda (Michael) Bilbrey, Lonnie (Kelly) Smith, Evelyn (Charlie) Venarski and Beverly Roos; proud grandmother to Montana Thursby and Aeden McGovern; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Emitt, the son of Linwood and Desi Pratt was born September 29, 1938 in Venice, IL. Emitt grew up in Venice and he attended local schools and grauduated from Lincoln of Venice High School in 1959.
Emitt is survived by three daughters, one son, six siblings and one foster son. His children are: Charlotte Sprinter, Samara Williams, Desi Pratt and Emitt Pratt Jr. The siblings are: Lili Davis, Johnny Mae Mary Davis, Linwood (Buddie Boy) Pratt Jr., Arnold (Shane Pie) Pratt, Earie Mae Pratt and Gerelene Clifton Gamble Pratt. Evayn Taylor is his foster son. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Linwood and Desi Pratt
Emitt was a dedicated U.S. Army sergeant who served in the Vietnam War and retired from the Army. After retirement, he worked at a food cannery in Seattle, WA.
He was passionate about sports. He treasured the years he refereed the games of baseball, football and basketball. His favorite professional teams were the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team and the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. Not only did Emitt like participating in sports, he was an avid fisherman. He could stay out on the lake or at the bank for hours just to fish.
Emitt faithfully attended World Changing Word of Faith Deliverance Ministry located in Granite City, IL.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 5, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Greater New Covenant COGIC, 8625 State St., East Saint Louis, IL, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm.
Clyde David Martin Jr., 77, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 9:43 a.m. Wed. Oct. 28, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
He was born Nov. 1, 1942 in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Clyde David & Dorothy (Ziegler) Martin Sr.
On June 30, 1973, he and Rosemarie Stief were married in Venice, IL. She survives in Granite City.
Clyde had been the Yard Clerk for Terminal Railroad Association for 39 years and was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Little Brushy Missionary Baptist Church in Wappapello, MO.
He was a member of the Venice High School graduating Class of 1961.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Angela Martin of Granite City; 2 sons: David Martin of Granite City and Christopher (Karie) Martin of Virginia; 5 grandchildren; 3 brothers: Jerry Lee (Barbara) Martin of Idaho, Donald James Martin of Poplar Bluff, MO and Ronald Ray (Dawn) Martin of Edwardsville, IL; 3 sisters: Gloria Jean Barr of Idaho, Brenda Elaine (Jerry) Christian of Wappapello, MO and Mary A. (Sam) Bass of Granite City; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Leroy York.
Edward Glennon Whaley age 92, of Glen Carbon, IL, formerly of Granite City, IL, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, IL. Edward was born on May 30, 1928 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Frank Whaley and Elizabeth (Boyer) Whaley.
Edward was a Korean War veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army. On August 6, 1951, Edward married Marie Irene Shambro (VHS Class of 1944), the love of his life at St. Mark Catholic Church in Venice, IL. He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City, IL. Edward started his career working at A.O. Smith in Granite City, IL. After working there for twenty-five years, Edward went to work and retired as a Navy civilian from the quality control department at Boeing in St. Louis, MO. Edward enjoyed traveling the United States and the world with Marie. He also enjoyed archery, golfing and playing tennis. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Edward loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his siblings, James Whaley Sr., Charles Whaley, Melvin Whaley, George Whaley, Mary Hornback and Loretta Stanfill.

Betty Jane (Ryder) Ballentine, 93, of Jackson, Missouri passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She lived in the Venice and Granite City, Illinois area since 1952 and moved to Jackson, Missouri to live with her daughter in 2013. She was born in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts on Aug. 18, 1927, a daughter of the late Ralph Dunham and Elsie Jane (Rae) Ryder. While living in West Bridgewater she was a member of the Unitarian Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir. She and her sister, Shirley, sang on radio station WHDH in Boston and radio station WBET in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Betty married Jacob P. Ballentine on June 6, 1952 in the Unitarian church in West Bridgewater then moved to Venice, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2002.
She worked for the Venice School System as a Library Clerical Aide for fifteen years. She and her husband retired in 1987 and moved to Granite City.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madison, Illinois. She sang in the choir and became the choir director for almost seventeen years. She also played the organ occasionally for the church and was a member of the Metro East Organ Society for many years.
Betty is survived by three children, Frederick Ballentine, of Hinesville, Georgia, Sharon (Eugene) Newcomer of Jackson, Missouri and Jack (Julie) Ballentine from Thaxton, Mississippi; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Muriel Ryder, Mary Carr and Shirley Miner and two brothers, George Ryder and Raymond Ryder.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mark Maynard officiating.

Kenneth Francis Ritz died peacefully at his home on February 19, 2020 surrounded by his children (at least those he knew of) and closest friends. After a lifetime of near misses from fox hunting accidents, polo accidents, car accidents and ex-girlfriends, he went out as he wished, at his stately home -with as many lights turned off as possible.
Ken lived an extraordinary life. Born in Venice, IL near East St. Louis on April 1, 1935 to Rose and Frank Ritz. "Kenny" graduated from St. Mark School with the class of 1949.
He was well-known for his athletic prowess, especially on the football field. Nicknamed “The Phantom,” he was a star running back who went to college on a scholarship. After graduating from the University of Toledo, he received his J.D. from the University of Illinois.
After active duty as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Infantry (he cited his service frequently for Veteran’s Day discounts at restaurants), he moved to Rockford to begin his esteemed career in law. He began practicing in 1960 and retired in 2015. He refused to go to the bar association dinner to receive his 50 -year plaque, lest anyone think he was old.
His love of polo defined him. He was fond of referencing a Wall Street Journal feature which stated “The game is as close to pure unstepped-on macho as you’re going to find in America. You must be able to ride like Geronimo, have the hand-eye coordination of Jimmy Connors and the disposition of Atilla the Hun.”
Ken was an exceptional player who participated in tournaments all over the United States. He kept a stable of horses for most of his adult life. He introduced his family (assorted wives, children and girlfriends) to all things equestrian. He was the Master of Hounds for the Oak Brook Hunt Club during the 1970’s. In spite of his expertise, his hobbies landed him in the hospital no less than a dozen times.
He insisted on returning to polo after one accident which left him unconscious for 11 days and significantly damaged his peripheral vision. Soon after, a horse had “a damned heart attack and dropped dead” underneath him and exacerbated all previous injuries. Nonetheless, he continued driving, using the broken white lines to center himself betwixt the two lanes.
Ken was a voracious reader. His shelves included works by Flannery O’Connor, Euripides, Jane Austen, P.J. O’Rourke and Joseph Heller (CATCH 22 was his favorite). He was a gifted writer, deftly able to balance self-deprecating wit with keen human observation. As such, he published a book which chronicled his life in romance and sport entitled NAZI HILLBILLY – A TALE OF SEX (*hardly any) and VIOLENCE (*too much). He also wrote “Chapter 11: Bankruptcy for Rich People – a practical guide for Creditors and Debtors” which was not intended to be a companion piece, but served as such nonetheless.
He was an accomplished amateur magician performing shows at for birthday parties, retirement homes and local political fundraisers. He loved music of all kinds, but particularly country music. He was most happy driving a pick-up truck. He loved flat diet soda, which required him to shake cans and release carbonation in a manner that no other human has been able to duplicate. He played both the guitar and piano extremely well.
His children did not grow up on nursery rhymes but instead knew every word to Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried.”
After decades of participation in adrenaline-driven sports, he focused his attention on his golf game. He was a frequent disruptor of Ladies Day at the Rockford Country Club where he teed-off from any hole of his choosing until reprimanded.
Anyone who knew him knew of his legendary wit, his eccentricities and his flamboyance. He loved to entertain at his home whether it was his annual Christmas soiree or hosting meals for his close inner circle of friends. What is not as well-known was that he led a life of quiet generosity towards those who were having a difficult time. As much as he enjoyed regaling friends and family with tales of various accomplishments, he was more low-key in terms of “doing right” by those less fortunate. Unless of course, you could not understand his “Sunrise Biscuits” order at the drive-thru.
He is survived by his children Jay Michael Ritz (Shreveport, LA), Stephanie Ritz (Los Angeles) and Charles Ritz (Chicago). He is predeceased by his daughter Allison Ritz.

Jeanette (Ritz) Woodrome Flannery, 83, formerly of Venice, passed away on October 6, 2020 after a long illness. She was born on October 10, 1936 to Bernard and Edna (Culp) Ritz.
She is survived by her son Bernard "Bernie" (Laura) Woodrome of Florida, her daughter Julie (Bill) Godfrey (both VHS Class of 1982) of Granite City, one brother Robert (Patricia) Ritz of Troy, MO, a sister Evelyn "Evie" Ritz-Siscel (VHS Class of 1965) of Shilo, IL, a sister-in-law Barbara (Charles) Ritz of Texas and grandchildren Patrick and Adeline Godfrey and Timothy and Blaine Woodrome. Also great-grandchildren Patrick Jr. and Delila Godfrey and Tierney and Joey Woodrome.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Woodrome, a sister Shirley Jean (Ritz) Watkins (VHS Class of 1950), two brothers, Bernard and Charles Ritz, her second husband Jerry Flannery, her first husband William Woodrome and a brother-in-law Ben Siscel.

Mary Elizabeth (Beyer) Metzger
Mary Elizabeth Metzger, age 86, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Granite Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mary was born on January 22, 1934 in Venice, IL, a daughter of the late Adam and Bertha (Seats) Beyer.
On December 9, 1951, Mary Beyer married Jesse Metzger, the love of her life and Jesse passed away on October 30, 2015. Mary was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and a friend to many. She never met a stranger and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Mary had worked at Huck’s as a sales associate for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Mary loved life, loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille, Louise, Wanda, Ruby, Yvonne, Rosalie and Faye; and by one brother, Lester.

She was born on July 8, 1934 in Taylorville, IL to Wilbert and Rachel nee: Innis Griffin. She worked as a teacher’s aide. In her free time she loved antiques shopping, owls and travel.

She was born February 19, 1948 in Granite City, a daughter of the late Erwin and Mildred (Keel) Stengel.
She married Ronnie Lee McCoy Sr. on June 4, 1966 in Collinsville and he passed away on June 17, 2010.
Carol enjoyed her years as a bus driver with Madison County Transit. She was a faithful member of the former Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Granite City and now Love Fellowship Outreach Ministries in Granite City. She loved attending the H.O.P.E. widows luncheons through the years. Carol enjoyed her days of fishing, cross-stitching and making blankets for her grandchildren. She cherished her family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Cindy McCoy of Mitchell, Ronnie and Jennifer McCoy Jr. of Florissant, Missouri and John and Erica McCoy of Granite City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Chuck Morris of Granite City and Lisa and Tom Wojcik of Roodhouse; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Karen Stengel of Greenville; three aunts; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life, a private visitation and funeral service will be held at Irwin Chapel in Granite City on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 with Reverend Matthew Ware officiating.
Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be accepted at the funeral home.
