Venice Baptist Church

The Venice Baptist Church building. This is a frame taken from a video shot from a car as it was driven through the streets of Venice on September 18, 2008. The church had been sold and was known by several different names. It eventually became the Friendship Baptist Church for a while and then became Bible Way Deliverance Church. The building no longer exists.

A BAPTIST CHURCH WEDDING shows some of the interior of the Venice Baptist Church. Norma Nash married Charles Cullum Jr. on November 23, 1968. Behind the wedding party, from left, are the bride's parents Gladys and Elmer Nash and the groom's parents Ola and Charles Cullum Sr., all from Venice. The wedding party, from left, are bridesmaids Joyce "Jackie" Nash and Frances Cullum and Matron of Honor Donna (Nash) Hocking, sister of the bride, the bride and groom, Best Man Ralph Whitehead, Charles "Chuck" Nash, Norma's brother, and Clarence "Curt" Cullum, the groom's brother. In front are the flower girl Faith Cullum and ring bearer Brian Nash. Norma was serving as the vice president of the History Committee until her passing on December 15, 2017.

His sister, Phyllis, is also in the front row, second girl from right. The pastor at the time, Brother Showers, is the tall man with glasses on the far right.
